Exactly, although it's not official released, it is official material owned by Universal. Here's what team said:
So sorry to disappoint everyone, but Universal Music Group will QUICKLY respond to the upload in an unfavorable way. It would not be a legal upload as none of us here are the copyright holders to that unreleased song, therefore we cannot condone or allow it.
We're not entirely sure whether or not www.cranberries.com.mx is legally permitted to have the clip displayed, but as that is not our website, the risk is Sigma's to take if he chooses. He did not ask for permission to display the clip, otherwise we would have advised against it.
Dolores doesn't have a say in the matter either as the master is owned by Universal. If Dolores wanted to release the song, she would have to pay Universal for the use of the master recording, or re-record the song herself.
But happily, it sounds like there's new Cranberries music being worked on right now! So that gives everyone something NEW to look forward to!  So i guess this would never supposed to happen... Salu2, Andrea |
