Irish Factor: Formed in Limerick in 1990. Lead singer/songwriter Dolores O'Riordan is related to a powerful banking family in Cork. The Irish quartet quickly became one of the world's biggest alternative-rock bands of the decade and rank as one of Ireland's most successful bands of all time. They sold over 45 million albums from 1990 to 2003.
Big Break: 1993's Everybody Else is Doing it, So Why Can't We? Which contain the band's first big hits, Linger and Dreams.
Thanks For: Everybody Else is Doing it, So Why Can't We? (1993), No Need to Argue (1994), the single Zombie (from No Need to Argue,) arguably the band's most famous song and one of the angriest of the 90's alt-rock genre.
