What a way to close the year! Sarah Brightman x2, R.E.M., Oasis and finally Madonna x2 being the most amazing SHOW my eyes saw on 2008! (Most amazing one for 2007 was Muse at Wembley Stadium and most amazing CONCERT of this year goes for Mrs. Brightman).
I was lucky enough to get awesome tickets for Madonna's concerts via Internet at the pre-sale, I was in the US by the time that happened, for what I saw on TV the rows at the box-offices were insanely long! All seats were sold out in 2 hrs. aprox!
2 days before the 1st concert I was just curious and searched for a ticket at Ticketmaster and surprise! I got one in the 15th row! The one I got before was great but this one was PERFECT! I got online in several chat-rooms to sell my old ticket immediately and I found out a guy from Madonna's crew was there trying to make some friends to show him the city while he was here! We had a nice talk and he gave me a backstage pass for the first night!!! I WAS SO EXITED! I was on the same stage that Madonna! I could see her car, throne and all that stuff ready to be pulled out to the front part of the stage as soon as the lights of the venue turned off! He also gave me Madonna's Itinerary! This little book is given to all staff so they can know where will they be in certain date, it includes all the information about flights, hotels, telephone numbers and more about the whole Latinamerican leg of the tour
!!! I couldn't believe it! I'll try to put some scans tomorrow because I was asked to keep that info in secret until the tour finished (Which means today!).
We went to the crew's after-party that night and I can't remember what happened next because I ended up really drunk
, the next day my seat was on the furthest rows of the closest sections to the stage so I took the ticket I used for the first concert and as soon as the lights went off, I used it to see if I could access a nearest place and IT WORKED! I watched all Sunday's concert from my Saturday's 15th row place :p!
I had such a great time and made a couple of new friends! Concert's are still my addiction (You can tell!) I'm ready for next year ones! I already bought tickets for Damien Rice, Alanis Morissette, Radiohead, Iron Maiden & Razorlight! If you ever go/come to a concert in Mexico let me know! I might be somewhere around! Have a good nite/day everyone!
